Aurora over Pleasant Lake

A strong geomagnetic storm produced a beautiful display of northern lights last night.  I went to the shore of Pleasant Lake in Harwich to capture the display reflecting in the calm water. Shot with a Canon 6D and 24-70mm f/2.8L lens

Photo chosen for International Dark-Sky Assoc. 2016 calendar

My photo of the Milky Way rising out of the North Atlantic from here on Cape Cod was selected to be included in the International Dark-Sky Association's 2016 calendar! Please consider supporting this organization to help combat light pollution so future generations will still be able to see the night sky in all its glory.
