Beach Portrait Session - Dennis - Cape Cod

Back in late June, I met up with a wonderful family who was vacationing here on the Cape from Southern California.  I spent most of the session capturing these images of their four girls.  As you can tell, I think they like hanging out together...  ;-)

Family Beach Portrait Session - Chatham - Cape Cod

I had the pleasure of meeting up with the Casperson family in early June for a beach portrait session at Lighthouse Beach in Chatham. Being early June, the evening was cool but also blessed with some wonderful soft light. Btw, how cute is this little dude! :)

Rainbow & Lightning

Yesterday evening as I was preparing for a family beach portrait session, a cluster of thunderstorms passed over the Cape.  As they were departing out over Nantucket Sound, I was able to capture this beautiful pairing of a distant rainbow and lightning bolt.  Taken near Red Jacket Beach in Yarmouth.

Double Rainbow Wedding!

Yesterday, I had the pleasure of photographing Megan & Chad's beautiful wedding at the Heritage Museum & Gardens in Sandwich.  Mother nature decided to give us a bit of a rain shower early in the evening which prompted a slight change of plans for the outdoor ceremony, however, afterwards, the Sun came out and she provided a stunning double rainbow during cocktail hour!  It's not very often you get to capture a bride and groom under one of mother nature's most beautiful spectacles!  Pretty cool if you ask me!  :)  I'll be posting more photos from their wedding a bit later.  Flowers by Judy Fligg at  All About Flowers For Weddings.

Funnel Cloud over Cape Cod

I normally posts my wedding and beach portrait images to the blog but I thought this was too cool not to post. :)  Yesterday I captured a very rare (for Cape Cod) funnel cloud dropping out of the base a nearby thunderstorm.  The photo and video were taken from Bank Street in Harwich Port looking east towards Chatham.  It lasted about 5 minutes and then dissipated.

After getting back to the studio, I sent the image and video to the Boston television stations as well as the Cape Cod Times.  It was picked up by WBZ, WCVB, NECN and FOX25 in Boston as well as WJAR in Providence, RI and used on-air as part of their 5pm, 6pm and 11pm newscasts.  Pretty cool!  The Cape Cod Times ran the image in today's newspaper as well!

Fenway Park Panorama - Boston Red Sox

My friend and Cape Cod DJ Keith Lemire took in a Red Sox game this afternoon at Fenway Park.  It was a beautiful day with temps in the 80's under sunny blue skies.  Being a photographer, I couldn't help but shoot a panorama from our seats.

Beach Portrait Session - The DePaola Family

I had the pleasure of meeting up with the DePaola family a few weeks ago for a family beach portrait session at Bayview Beach in Dennis.  We had some great light that evening, and being just before Memorial Day, had the beach all to ourselves! :)

Tara & Karl - Surprise E-Session!

I met up with Tara and Karl this past weekend at Lighthouse Beach in Chatham to capture Karl's proposal to Tara.  Karl and I had been emailing back and forth for several weeks as he planned the proposal which included me, unknown to Tara, capturing the actual moment he popped the question!  As you can tell by the photos, she said yes!!  So fun!  Congratulations!!!  :)

E-Session with Megan & Chad

Last week I met up with wedding clients Megan & Chad for their e-session at the beach.  They are getting married this July at the Heritage Museum & Gardens in Sandwich.  Heritage is such a beautiful location for a wedding!  There are tons of great spots for photos and the landscaped grounds are bursting with flowers and color.  I can't wait to capture their upcoming wedding!! :)
